One of India’s most popular motivational speakers, Sandeep Maheshwari has recently uploaded a video on his YouTube channel exposing Multi-level Marketing (MLM) scams with the hashtag #StopScamBusiness which he first used on the video exposing Vivek Bindra, founder of Bada Business.
In the video, he can be seen referring to the official notification of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs titled ‘Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021‘ while educating the viewers on how to recognise which direct selling company is doing scams as MLM and which one is selling genuine products.
MLM scams are not new in India, they’ve been running as pyramid schemes duping people in the guise of direct selling for a very long time. These Ponzi schemes only focus on enrolling new people and collecting money from them rather than selling quality products through a network of sellers.
Many direct-selling companies operating as pyramid schemes have been banned by the Government in the past. But, despite bringing laws to prohibit such companies, many entities are still running some kind of scheme to run their business which Sandeep Maheshwari is trying to make people aware of through his recent video.
Sandeep Maheshwari is a very respected personality in the world of YouTube and social media because of his motivational and inspiring videos which he shares with people without any motive of monetary benefit in any manner and so despite getting millions of views, his YouTube channel has been never monetised.
He runs a stock images business called Imagesbazaar.com and his all YouTube videos and offline sessions are self-financed through the same. People from all age-group and especially students love him a lot because of his valuable advice shared through his videos which have helped a lot of people in their life.
He has always talked for the good of the students, and with the same objective Sandeep Maheshwari uploaded a video on 11 December 2023 titled ‘BIG SCAM EXPOSED’ talking about how scams are being done in the name of selling business courses online.
The video was made just to educate people and so no one was named and pointed out. But some smart viewers understood and commented the name of Vivek Bindra on that video. Soon, it was confirmed through another video that it’s none other than Vivek Bindra who was being referred to in that video.
Vivek Bindra is also a very well-known motivational speaker and business coach who had earlier launched online courses on entrepreneurship under his company named Bada Business. He also started a program called Independent Business Consultant (IBC) to promote his courses where anyone can join as an IBC and make lakhs of money as commissions by selling the courses.
The allegations against Vivek Bindra are because of the IBC model where people joined it in the hope of making lakhs by selling the courses but very few people have actually made some good money. Many people especially students have come forward against Vivek Bindra after the expose video of Sandeep Maheshwari but Bindra has denied the allegations of the reported scam.
Sandeep Maheshwari, in an attempt to educate people about such scams, recently uploaded a new video on how MLM scams are done in the guise of direct selling. With his video getting viral on the Internet, the netizens are also discussing about these scams on every other social media platforms and trying to beware people.
