Netflix India has partnered with Prajakta Koli, a content creator and YouTuber famous as MostlySane, for a brand new chat show ‘Mostly Chai‘ to promote its shows and movies. The first episode of the show is out now with Babil Khan who is an actor in the upcoming Netflix film ‘Friday Night Plan‘.
In this new show, Prajakta is going to have conversations with the guests while they make tea for both. The conversations can be about life, family, career, acting, films and everything.
“This is a new show where I get to hang out with all my favourite artists while they make ‘chai’ for me. So, I think, I’ve done it. I have tricked Netflix into making this whole show happen where I just sit down and do the things I love doing the most, which is having conversations and chai,” said Prajakta in the first episode of the show.
Prajakta has worked with Netflix many times in the past and also played a lead role in the romantic drama web series Mismatched premiered on Netflix in 2020. After its success of two seasons, this series has been renewed for a third season due to its popular demand.
Since her childhood, Prajakta Koli wanted to become a radio jockey and be the voice of the masses. She also worked as a radio intern for one year but she didn’t feel free, or the thrill she thought she would when she started working. After reaching her boiling point, she decided to give YouTube a try.
Today, Prajakta is one of the top YouTubers in India having a subscriber base of more than 7 Million on her YouTube channel MostlySane. She usually makes observational comedy videos based on daily life situations and now also acts in films and web shows.
In 2022, she made her film debut in Dharma Productions’ Jugjugg Jiyu movie alongside popular stars Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Manish Paul. Due to regular acting projects, her frequency of YouTube uploads has somewhat lessened but people are also loving her web series and movies.
