They say, “When you’re craving for more, use Dunzo Mo.” Dunzo Mo promises to gratify your midnight cravings.

How does Dunzo work?

Ever wondered how Dunzo manages to deliver your favourite items in such a short period of time?

Dunzo functions by using a hyperlocal on-demand delivery model. Hyperlocal marketplaces simplify the delivery process by making delivery available in a limited geographical area.

This enables the workers to deliver you the freshest of commodities in the shortest time possible. Once you have access to groundbreaking services like Dunzo, there’s no turning back. This is what makes it super successful.

Behind the co-founders

Kabeer Biswas, the CEO of Dunzo, has a Bachelor of Electronics degree in Computers from the University of Mumbai and a master’s degree in Business Administration from NMIMS [Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.] He used to work at Bharti Airtel Limited, Videocon Telecommunications Ltd and Y2CF Digital Media Pvt Limited prior to starting Dunzo.

Mukund Jha has a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology. Along with that, he has a master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering, also known as The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, New York. He used to work as a Software Engineer at Google and is also a co-founder of Wisdom.ly [a group video platform for virtual meetups and conferences] and Habet [an intelligent goal-tracking platform]

Founders of Dunzo- Dalvir, Mukund, Kabeer, and Ankur

Ankur Aggarwal has an MCA degree in Computer Science from IIT Roorkee. He co-founded an HR tech company called Filtr and used to work as a Software Developer at SlideShare from 2010 to 2011.

Dalvir Suri has a B.E in Information Technology from Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He used to work at Cybrilla Technologies as the Head of Operations from 2012 to 2015.

What lead to the creation of Dunzo?

Believe it or not, it all began with a tiny WhatsApp group. With the idea of making people’s lives a bit easier and less straining, Kabeer created a WhatsApp group and took orders from people and delivered items to them in person.

People found this unprecedented idea extremely valuable thus leading this small-scale business to grow rapidly. He then got together with his friends [now co-founders] to transform the idea into something bigger and better, leading to the making of Dunzo.

And today, it has managed to get funded by 29 investors including large companies like Google and Reliance Retail.

D for Diversity!

Dunzo swears by inclusivity and diversity. Just like how their products and services can’t be more diverse, their workplace consists of diversified people from all around India.

Dunzo wholeheartedly supports the LGBTQ+ community by advocating equal rights for everyone. Their recent campaign “HereForPride” worked for raising awareness and eradicating the negative stereotypes about the queer community. Dunzo’s platform is safe and all-embracing for everyone no matter their unique identity.

Just Dunzo it!

Dunzo has become so convenient and influential that it has now become a verb. Each time you run out of an essential item and feel the need to order it, saying “Just dunzo it!” gets your point across effortlessly. That’s how much of an impact Dunzo has had on people.

The fact that Dunzo can be a verb is fairly goosebumpy,” says Kabeer, while expressing his gratitude towards the company and its customers.
