Meet RJ Kartik, an award-winning radio jockey and motivational storyteller from Jaipur, Rajasthan known for his radio show ‘Salaam Jaipur‘ on MY FM.
His show ‘Salaam Jaipur’ is the platform where he shares motivational stories and learnings from various aspects of life. He also has his own YouTube channel named ‘RJ Kartik’ which has over 2.8 Million subscribers.

Success Story of RJ Kartik
From his early school days, Kartik had a passion for storytelling and radio. In those days, he listened to several radio shows and relentlessly tried to mimic the voices of different radio jockeys.
Not just that, he also had an arcane poetic side apart from his jolly mimicking talent, and he used to write stories and poems in his school days.
He always wanted to get into a media school, but unfortunately, he couldn’t get into one, so he took admission to BBA.
While pursuing his BBA, he used to listen to RJs and tried to learn what they do, how they are doing it and what tactics they apply to make their show interesting. The motto was to figure out their uniqueness.
At the same time, he used to focus on his speaking abilities and pronunciation. Finally, in 2009, he got an internship with MY FM and then, he began his journey as a radio jockey.
This was his training period, that’s when without any guru in particular he was trying to grasp the techniques of being a professional Jockey.
In that 9-month internship, RJ Kartik got real-life experience of what he learned remotely. That’s when he started hosting a show called ‘Salaam Jaipur’ which broadcasts from 7 am to 11 am, Monday to Saturday.
Journey to Spirituality
After his selection on MY FM radio, RJ Kartik started sharing stories and learnings from various aspects of life on his radio show. Further, his motivational and inspiring stories and words connected people with him and soon gathered a huge fan base.
Listeners and the radio channel improved with time as people started to feel connected with unique storytelling methods. His colloquial of starting mornings with “Kisi ne kya khoob kaha hai” is a motivational punch.
In this radio channel, he covers topics such as motivation, positivity, success, faith and more. Not his own stories, but he also interviews some of the most influential and successful people from different fields.

In 2017, he made his YouTube channel with his name ‘RJ Kartik’. Through the YouTube channel, he wanted to share motivational stories, learning series and interviews with some prominent people.
In the initial days when there used to be either little or no response at all, he didn’t allow it to let him down and kept himself persistent.
In his learning series, he summarises insights from various books, events and personalities to educate and motivate his viewers.
Not just interviews, he also recites uplifting stories through his epic storytelling talents such as stories regarding subjects of most common concerns such as failure, betrayal, overcoming depression and anxiety.
Some of his most influential spiritual stories include stories about the miracles of Lord Shri Ram, Lord Shri Krishna, Sai Baba, and more. He created such videos to demonstrate the power of faith and devotion. His work has always been towards the upliftment of the society and power of the mind.
In one of his motivational videos, he said, “Aapka sapna aapke liye utna he bada hai, jitna aap usse bada sochte ho!”
His twelve-year journey has been a magical one, where he had wholeheartedly worded for the upliftment of society and pictured the true art of altruism. This is his art of shaping his work well.
