Amazon Prime Video New Series Mission Start Ab

Amazon Prime Video announced its new reality series ‘Mission Start Ab‘ to premiere on December 19 where ten early-stage startups will showcase their innovations and compete to receive mentorship from three of India’s top investors— Kunal Bahl, founder of SnapDeal and Titan Capital; Manish Chowdhary, founder of WOW Skin Science; and Anisha Singh, founder of She Capital.

A first-of-its-kind competitive reality show, Mission Start Ab has been conceptualised in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser, Government of India, to create an original TV series to showcase India’s grassroots innovators and their growth stories.

Prime Video took to Instagram to announce its premiere date. It said, “Presenting a first-of-its-kind competitive reality series to discover and empower India’s most promising startups.” The series was first announced in July this year and it is now going to premiere after six months.

The seven-episode series, Mission Start Ab will showcase the stories of some of the most promising startups in India where the three renowned investors will search for India’s next unicorn by giving them some intense exercises and simulations to test their entrepreneurial and management skills.

The investors, consisting of Kunal Bahl, Manish Chowdhary and Anisha Singh, will also invest in some of the startups in addition to providing them mentorship and guidance to scale their business and aspire to become the next unicorn of India.

Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India highlighted its objectives in July during its announcement saying, “I am optimistic that it will offer immense learning opportunities to grassroots innovators in India, providing valuable insights into sustainable startup practices and attracting the right investors. Furthermore, the series promises to entertain viewers while promoting the growth of our nation’s grassroots innovation ecosystem“.

Adding onto that, Sushant Sreeram, Country Director at Prime Video India said, “Our mission at Prime Video has always been to be a force for good and an enabler of India’s economy—directly and indirectly”.

The marquee collaboration between Prime Video and the Government of India has now become a startup reality show which aspires to discover and empower India’s most promising startups.
