Tech YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss Announces The Best Smartphones Of The Year 2023

The British tech YouTuber, Arun Maini, known for his channel Mrwhosetheboss, has announced the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max as the best smartphones of the year 2023 in the flagship segment.

With over 17 Million subscribers on his YouTube Channel, Maini is known for his quality tech videos and critical reviews of smartphones and other tech gadgets helping people make better purchase decisions.

For the last few years, he has been making a year-end video every year recognising the best smartphones of that year and awarding them with his custom-made trophies. Last year in 2022, he chose the Google Pixel 7 Pro as the best smartphone of the year, and this year there are two phones instead of one.

“I do think that the Samsung S23 Ultra does enough right to earn itself the title of smartphone of the year, but it doesn’t sit there on its own. There’s one more phone, it’s the iPhone 15 Pro Max also deserves to share this position mostly for the camera improvements, better battery and the USB Type-C which gives me one less cable to worry about,” Arun Maini said in his latest video titled ‘The Best Smartphones of 2023’.

He also highlighted in the video that there are a lot of good smartphones in the market right now, like the Samsung S23 series, Xiaomi 13 series, iPhone 15 series and flagship smartphones from the likes of OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo and others. But among all of these, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is a masterclass in terms of every other feature.

Maini has even added a segment of losers where he included iPhone SE and Google Pixel Fold as the loser smartphones of the year because of their outdated specifications and low quality of hardware respectively.
