Gautam Kapoor, the COO of Shiprocket, is the creative brain behind the company and has extensive knowledge of B2B sales and logistics. He graduated from Western International University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Vishesh Khurana is the Head of Growth of Shiprocket and is dedicated to concept development and is actively involved with top venture capitalists. He has a BBA from Amity Business School.

Akshay Ghulati has expertise in strategy and global expansion. He has an MBA from Harvard School of Business School. Prior to working with Shiprocket, he used to work at Amazon as a Senior Manager in the UK.

The idea and the inspiration

The driving force behind creating Shiprocket was the realization that India had millions of small business owners who were deprived of adequate online resources to scale up their businesses. This made them build the essential technology to offer them their own online presence.

The motivation was as simple as that, and they didn’t need to conduct extensive research to go through with the idea. “It just was something we had a strong conviction in,” says Saahil.

The company was conceptualized by Saahil and Gautam, making them the first co-founders. Six months into the journey, Vishesh joined them as a co-founder. Akshay joined Shiprocket in 2016 as the Chief Business Officer. Within 3-4 months, they already had a 200-page document ready which had their entire business model, and the rest is history.

Today, Shiprocked has empowered over 200k eCommerce sellers and carries out more than 200k shipments daily. It delivers packages to more than 70 million customers annually and is trusted by more than 100k brands including Samsung, Kellogg’s, Gillette, Relaxo, Mamaearth, Bodycare, and others.
