Inspiring Journey of Aman Dhattarwal and his Edtech Startups

Aman Dhattarwal is a 25-year-old educator who is making students’ lives easier. He is best known for being the founder of Apni Kaksha and Apna College.

He is also a motivational speaker and has delivered over 100+ guest lectures at prestigious colleges like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, BITS Pilani, etc. His motivational talks are truly propelling and he helps students fall in love with learning and retaining information like never before.

He has also become the #1 IIT JEE Faculty at Unacademy before starting up his own online education ventures Apni Kaksha and Apna College. Currently, he along with his team creates educational content on several YouTube channels.

Beginning of his journey

Aman was born in Rajasthan in 1997 and has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. We can infer that he was a smart kid based on the fact that he scored 95% in the 12th CBSE board exams.

His YouTube journey started way back when he was in 1st year. He was a shy and reserved kid till the 12th grade. He had extreme stage fright and used to tremble at the mere thought of going up on stage. He was dumbfounded every time he was asked to go up on stage.

He wanted to break free from this restrictive barrier and made it his goal to participate in as many events as possible. This was when the idea of YouTube came to his mind.

Aman was a good educator and started uploading videos of him teaching in April 2015. He received positive feedback from many students which encouraged him to keep going on and on. As of 2022, he has more than 4.2M subscribers who can’t get enough of his scholarly content.

His YouTube channel emphasizes more on class 12th board preparations, college admissions, and career opportunities. He has a strong passion for educating his students and measures his success solely on the basis of the number of students that he’s taught. He feels content knowing that students learn something valuable from him.

Aman Dhattarwal also has another YouTube channel called Hustlers Bay which features influential personalities and Aman is committed to sharing their compelling stories. He has 5 other YouTube channels named Apni Kaksha, Apna College, Apni Kaksha NEET, and Apni Kaksha 9th and 10th. 

After his self-titled YouTube channel took off, he was once again fueled by his interminable passion for educating to launch other YouTube platforms named Apni Kaksha and Apna College. Apni Kaksha has its core focus on competitive exams such as JEE and board exams. It also has its own app that was launched in 2021.
