Tucker Carlson Coming Soon with his own Media Companyafter leaving Fox News
Tucker Carlson has recently raised $15 million fundingfrom 1789 Capital to grow his media company.
Carlson is currently embroiled in a legal battle with his former employer Fox News over a breach of his contract after he exited the network in April.
Carlson was fired from Fox News in April without giving a reason for termination.
After relaunching his show on Twitter, now Carlson plans to expand on that content with his new media startup, Last Country.
Last Country will release longer videos behind a subscription paywall, according to The Wall Street Journal.
This isn’t Carlson’s first foray into being a media founder.
He co-founded the Daily Caller, a right-wing news organization, in 2010 before selling his stake and stepping away in 2020.
His new venture includes Carlson's former executive producer at Fox News Justin Wells, and Neil Patel, a former advisor to then-Vice President Dick Cheney and the Daily Caller's current publisher.
Carlson began his career in journalism as a fact-checker for Policy Review,a national conservative journal then published by The Heritage Foundation.
Tucker Carlson joined Fox News in 2009 and after 14 years, he was fired in April 2023.
Then he worked at CNN, PBS, MSNBC and then co-founded The Daily Caller.
Now he is coming with his own media company, Last Country for which he has also raised $15 million in seed funding.
